Soliloquy 5
O my mind! Many people ask what is meditation. Is it simply regularised breathing or closing your eyes in a dark silent place or is it actually the practice of concentrated focus? It is all this and nothing of this sort at the same time. Can you sit in quiet and be quiet? Can you sit at peace and be at peace? Can it be forced by making the outer environment different? Can you focus and relax by chanting or listening to something? What will happen after the period of meditation? What is real meditation? Can it be done without silence, without darkness, without forced focussing on your thoughts? Can your clear your mind during meditation? What about your state of mind after that? Can you concentrate on clearing your negative thoughts? Is it humanely possible to force your mind to clear the thoughts with the goal of relaxing and calming yourself? Does an hour of forced relaxation make you a better person? What about your life beyond that?
Meditation is not all that which you think. Playing your favorite game can also clear your thoughts; spending time with small children can give you energy; creating something can bring positivity. The most important thing is to strive harder to become a better human being in life which will relax and calm yourself for a longer period of time. So, try to know yourself better; try to discover your strengths and weaknesses; work on them; find the meaning of life; don't get entangled into the vicious circle of happiness and sadness; try to find the centre, the state of Bliss and live your life. Love yourself and let yourself live.
